  1. San Marino claims to be the oldest states in Europe and to have
  2. been founded in the 4th century.  A communist led coalition ruled
  3. from 1947 to 1957 and a similar government took power in 1978. 
  4. San Marino has had a treaty of friendship with Italy since 1862.
